This Government-endorsed course is specifically designed to enhance the skills of people working in production support roles who have not had the opportunity to receive the training needed to achieve the required units of competency related to producing products.

Who will benefit from this training?

Production support workers engaged in any section of industry. They may be specialised in operating specific manufacturing equipment(s) and/or carry out a range of advanced operations related to the production.

How is the course delivered?

The course duration is 12 months when completed as a traineeship for participants who have completed the Certificate II qualification, or 24 months for direct entry participants. It is eligible for Existing Worker participation. The qualification can also be achieved in a shorter period of time when not completed as part of a traineeship.

The course is delivered to individuals and groups through a range of models including distance education, supported distance education, facilitated learning, and blended flexible delivery.
